Mediocrity In A Bottle

Sorry to start your week out this way, but, hell, at least you didn't have to drink this one.

Pretty, shimmery, and the color of young Burgundy.  Simple, grapey nose that smells cheap.  The palate comes across as a complete and fresh package if one dimensional.  But, really, that's generous.  The acids seem a bit out of place on the unapologetic fruit, but help it limp along through the finish.  Barely.  Mediocrity in a bottle.  Priced where it should be, maybe even a little high.  $8.

Word has it that this is the replacement for the once popular Solaz label.  Whatever.  Tasted blind and, well, it didn't help any.  Happy Monday everybody.
