This is a stunner of a wine for just ten bucks. Drinking more like a St Jospeh, this baby Chateaneuf has a terrific intensity of fruit where grenache's grip take center stage, while syrah's savory character sings back up. The local distributor (perhaps jokingly) suggested that they plumped up the alcohol to get around the tariffs. If it really is a 14.5% wine, then they are delivering it well. (Purchased) 93 Points
